About the Organization

“Food insecurity can lead to productivity loss for a variety of reasons.”

In today’s world, home to over seven billion people, about one billion go to bed hungry every night. Food, a fundamental human necessity, often needs to receive the attention and value it deserves. With increasing populations, climate change, limited water resources, and the complex land use issue, the need for better food security becomes increasingly important. Tay Juhana Foundation (TJF), a non-governmental organization, understands the urgency of taking immediate action to address this global challenge.

TJF, driven by a team of energetic and innovative young professionals, is dedicated to developing effective strategies, conducting pioneering research, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices on suboptimal lands, particularly peatlands. Peatlands that cover ~8% of the land surface in Indonesia, have potential for food sources that have already utilized generation traditionally. Developing sustainable agriculture practices on peatland is essential in the uncertain global macro that is full of war and food export bans. We are committed to significantly impacting land management worldwide, contributing to improved food security.

We are looking for motivated individuals who share our commitment to making a difference. Join our dynamic team in Jakarta as an agriculture research assistant and be a part of the change for these critical causes.
