About the Organization

“Without food security, you will have no other security.” – David Beasley

In today’s world, where over seven billion people call home, sadly, around one billion experience hunger each night. Food, a basic human right, often doesn’t get the attention it crucially needs. As our global population rises, facing challenges like climate change, dwindling water resources, and intricate land use issues, the push for better food security becomes more urgent than ever.

At the Tay Juhana Foundation (TJF), we are not just aware of these challenges—we are actively tackling them. Our team, made up of vibrant, innovative young professionals, is at the forefront of pioneering research and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices on suboptimal lands, with a special focus on peatlands. Covering about 7% of Indonesia’s land surface, peatlands offer promising opportunities for food production, a tradition stretching back generations.

In a world where geopolitical tensions, wars, and food export bans add layers of complexity, sustainable agriculture on suboptimal lands is not just beneficial—it is essential. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our journey. As part of our dynamic team in Jakarta, the Operational Manager Assistant position will help play a role in driving important changes that impact global food security.

Join us and be part of shaping a more food-secure future.
