ABOUT ORGANIZATION
In a world where over seven billion people live, nearly one billion go hungry every night. Access to food, a fundamental human right, is frequently neglected. With challenges like climate change, water scarcity, and complex land management, the urgency for food security has never been greater. The Tay Juhana Foundation (TJF) is dedicated to tackling these issues. Our team of committed professionals is focused on advancing sustainable agricultural practices across the suboptimal lands that constitute two-thirds of Indonesia’s surface area. This suboptimal land, integral to local agricultural traditions, holds untapped potential for food production.
As global uncertainties increase, the necessity for resilient and sustainable agricultural solutions becomes evident. We are trying to drive a solution by starting with action, conducting research, and planting rice as a means for sustainable food production on suboptimal land, as part of the Rice Project. The Rice Project in Indragiri Hilir, Riau, aims to enhance rice production in this key agricultural region. Recognizing Indonesia’s role as an agrarian nation and the increasing demand for food security, this project seeks to optimize suboptimal lands outside Java for rice production.
Indragiri Hilir areas have a strong agricultural foundation and the potential to contribute significantly to local and regional rice production. Through this project, TJF aims to address food security challenges while promoting sustainable agricultural practices that align with the environmental and socioeconomic context of the region. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Kuala Enok, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, as Field Officer (on the Rice Project). Join us in crafting a future where everyone has access to nutritious, sustainable food; you will play an important role in driving initiatives aimed at enhancing global food security. Apply today and help create lasting change for generations to come.
