In different parts of
the world, people
have different
experiences with
food

While some people go to bed with empty stomachs in their nights, there are also people with overweight and obesity.

Over 2 billion people do not have regular access to food with 704 million live in hunger.

Meanwhile,
human population is growing.

The planet will have more population in 2050, with almost 10 billion people live on Earth.

With a growing population, we have growing demands to fulfill the
primary needs. One of the most essential is food.
We face the challenges to
produce food and to ensure
enough and stable access to
utilize the food for everyone.

POPULATION

ADDITIONAL FOOD PRODUCTION

Yet, food issues are
multidimensional. Our food and
agriculture system is
intertwined, which makes it
more complex.

Countless challenges make the most prominent actor, i.e. farmers, especially outside high income countries, experience injustice.

Our concern comes from the
fact that land, as one of the
most limited yet essential
resources to produce food, is
getting degraded and
limited.

The evolution of agriculture practice has put our lands into its limit to produce food. The fertile lands where we can grow food is decreasing

More arable lands are converted to nonagricultural purposes. Leading to worse competition between food, energy, and other provisions.

We have a different
idea:
To work with lands
that are often
forgotten, those
people deemed as
unproductive

In addressing the challenge for food security, we need to highlight not to give burden to the environment.

We have to think long-term about how our future generation can live.

The most common choices to increase food production are intensification and extensification.

Enter suboptimal
lands.

We have seen cases that we can unlock the potential of suboptimal lands for food production.

Therefore, we work
on the following
aspects to achieve
the end goals.

To ensure everyone can eat, we cannot focus only on the production.

We have to work hard to achieve the objective of the bigger picture and to progress more into sustainability.

First, we work on
where the food can
grow. Cultivation of
suboptimal lands
should be leveraged
for sufficient food
production.
Second, we work
on the off-field, on
how the food can
reach people.

After being harvested on fields, foods have to travel far away to reach the people. During the journey, many things can affect people's capability to access the food.

This involves the need to fix the food and agriculture system, step-by-step.

Healthy Supply Chain

Fair Food Pricing

Food Import Regulation

Farmers and Community Empowerment

Rural-Urban Development

Lastly, we work to
ensure that the
people can have the
access to utilize food
at all times. We are
not dealing only with
the current situation
but also the future.

We need to strengthen the food and agriculture systems so that we can keep on living. This mainly includes dealing with the core of the system, i.e. the human.

Diet Diversification

Adaptive and Resilient Food and Agriculture System

Good Governance

Youth in Agriculture

We need you to bring betterment to our world where everybody has the same right to eat.

Be a part of the solution to this challenge!

Always contribute to society If you cannot contribute to society, do not be a burden to society
